As we plan for recovery, we believe that going back to the pre-pandemic “normal” would result in a return to conditions that were already inequitable and untenable for many of our neighbours, friends, colleagues and family members. Instead, we need to re-imagine city services, public infrastructure and public space creatively to ensure that everyone’s needs are met.
