City for All Women Initiative and community partners are asking candidates where they stand on creating an inclusive city:
  • Hear what residents and organizations in Women Reducing Poverty Together have identified as their priority issues in this election.
  • Learn the responses of City candidates surveyed on these issues.
  • Express your opinions on these issues, as a candidate and as a resident.
Last March, City Council passed a motion to study the creation of a Special Liaison for Women’s Issues and a Women’s Bureau in the City of Ottawa.
  • Learn how a Women’s Bureau could strengthen a gender analysis on policies and practices toward creating a city for everyone.
Sponsored by City for Women Initiative (CAWI)  in partnership with Cornerstone Housing for Women,   Empow(Her), Immigrant Women’s Service Organization, The Well,  OCTEVAW,   Somali Women’s Circle Network, St Joe’s Women’s Centre, Women’s Initiatives for Safer Environments and more.
Refreshments to be served.  Limited funds are available to cover childcare costs and bus tickets for those who need it in order to participate.
