The Ottawa Mosque Welcomes you to a Community Meeting on Making Ottawa a Sanctuary City
In the face of a global surge in xenophobic violence, cities across Canada and around the world are declaring themselves sanctuaries, promising to protect the rights of migrants and guarantee access to city services for all, access without fear
The meeting will feature a panel discussion with community workers and researchers. The panel will be followed by a question and answer session focusing on strategies for making Ottawa a sanctuary city.
On April 8th, choirs and individuals will activate at 1pm in their respective time zones to sing out, speak up, and express themselves. Together we can activate and uplift the human vibration, even for just a few minutes. You can participate both online and offline. Read on...
