Women boarding a city bus

Sponsored by:
City for All Women Initiative (CAWI)

Women’s Initiatives for Safer Environments (WISE)

in collaboration with OC Transpo

Last September, OC Transpo changed and reduced bus routes. Efforts were made to maintain services.  Many expressed concerns about their routes.

Thanks to a motion by Councillor Marianne Wilkinson and based on a deputation presented by CAWI, the Transit Commission required OC Transpo to study the impact of the changes, using the City’s Equity and Inclusion Lens.  This includes how women across diversity experience the changes.

Refreshments will be served.

We have limited funds for those of us who need family/childcare costs or bus tickets reimbursed to participate.
