In support of Ottawa becoming a Sanctuary City a letter was sent to the Mayor Jim Watson and City Council on March 8th, 2017 with signatures from over 25 supporting organizations from the area.

On International Women's Day, as organizations working to end violence against women and advancing gender equality, we are calling on our supporters to add their voice to this important campaign. Take action by emailing Mayor Jim Watson and all members of City Council.

March 30th  9:30am - Community and Protective Services Committee

Staff will present a report on Sanctuary City when a motion will be presented. You can schedule to make a deputation, be present, and/or write to you Councillor to let them know your views.
