The Ottawa Mosque Welcomes you to a Community Meeting on Making Ottawa a Sanctuary City

In the face of a global surge in xenophobic violence, cities across Canada and around the world are declaring themselves sanctuaries, promising to protect the rights of migrants and guarantee access to city services for all, access without fear

The meeting will feature a panel discussion with community workers and researchers. The panel will be followed by a question and answer session focusing on strategies for making Ottawa a sanctuary city.

Speakers: David Moffette (Criminology Professor, University of Ottawa), Sadia Jama (Community Organizer) and Karen Cocq (Ottawa Sanctuary Network)
